The UIUC-NUS Multi-institutional Ph.D. program aims to:
- attract talented graduate students to pursue a Ph.D. degree while having opportunities to integrate an international dimension into their educational experiences and prepare them to function in current the world economy.
- attract multinational corporations by offering
talented interns and prospective employees who have a global outlook,
- provide UIUC and NUS faculty members with
possibilities for cooperative research, and
- enhance the visibility of both institutions
as leaders in global education and research.
