The UIUC-NUS Multi-institutional Ph.D. program aims to:

• Attract talented graduate students to pursue a Ph.D. degree while having opportunities to integrate an international dimension into their educational experiences and prepare them to function in current the world economy
• Attract multinational corporations by offering talented interns and prospective employees who have a global outlook
• Provide UIUC and NUS faculty members with possibilities for cooperative research
• Enhance the visibility of both institutions as leaders in global education and research
