Why I chose to study Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering:
I chose to study chemical engineering because I was fascinated by the ability of chemical engineers to create useable products from raw materials. In addition to this, I also love that chemical engineering encompasses a good background of science and engineering and this provides graduates of the program with vast options of career paths.

Academic interests and campus involvement:
Undergraduate research on polymer recycling with Prof. Guironnet; St. Elmo Brady STEM academy program assistant;  Programs Committee member of NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers);  Treasurer for King’s Assembly Campus Outreach; AIChE member; Phi Eta Sigma honor society member.

Favorite place on campus:
Illini Union

Favorite way to spend my free time:
Catching up on lost sleep.

What I love about ChBE and/or the University of Illinois:
I love the fact that the ChBE program provides design projects in every core class to help students work on real applications of topics learned in the classroom. I love that the University of Illinois provides a very conducive environment for effective learning.
