Three ChBE graduate students from the research groups of Prof. Charles Schroeder and Prof. Paul Kenis walked away with three of the four poster presentation awards at the Institute of Biological Engineers Symposium, which was held in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Ritika Mohan (center) from the Kenis group was awarded the Grand Prize for her poster entitled “A Multiplexed Microfluidic Platform for Antibiotic Susceptibility Screening.”
Arnab Mukherjee(right) from the Schroeder group received the Second Prize with his poster entitled “Directed Evolution of Bright Mutants of a Flavin-binding Fluorescent Reporter Protein from Pseudomonas putida.”
Utsav Agrawal(left) from the Schroeder group received the Third Prize with his poster entitled “Investigating the Effects of Dynamic External Stimuli on Single Cell Fitness and Gene Expression in Escherichia coli.”
