Wendy Balthazor serves as the department's chief financial and administrative officer, overseeing operations such as budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and human resources.
Balthazor joined the department in 2021, bringing over 20 years of experience in business and budgeting from Wolfram Research, Shire Pharmaceuticals, and the University of Illinois. She has held several roles at Illinois covering administration, business services, accounting, and grants and contracts for the College of Veterinary Medicine and University Library.
She holds a bachelor's in Japanese Language and Culture from the University of Illinois as well as an MBA from Eastern Illinois University.
