Chemical and biomolecular engineering graduate student Song Yin has received the Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing (PD2M) Student Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). The PD2M student award is presented to graduate students in AIChE who have submitted an oral or poster presentation, received a letter of support from a faculty member that describes their research activities, and whose presentation has potential relevance to pharmaceutical discovery, development and manufacturing.
The sponsors of this award include Pfizer Inc. and Eli Lilly & Company. The award will be presented to Yin at the AIChE Annual Meeting taking place Nov. 2-6 in Boston.
Yin, who is a member of the Shukla Group, also received first place for his poster in last month's Graduate Research Symposium, titled "Computational Chemistry and Artificial Intelligence Guided Study of Lasso Peptide Folding."
